Artist's Comments

I submitted this because I would like an opinion on how to improve this. Normally I don't care but I'm really stuck.

oh cool! hmmm. i really like those webs in there- maybe you can find a way to emphasize them- darken the background perhaps? but i also like your characteristic jittery topography lines too- hold onto those! i dunno- i think it's coming along well

What mediums are you using?

Watercolor and two different ultra-fine tip markers

take a completely different colour pencil (red maybe, or a dark green for some of the fainter yellowy-browns), go round the edges with it and fade it into the watercolours. I think it should definitely add some interest.
Bring some parts of it forward, darken areas of the background to make them fall behind.
Or maybe do something completely different and draw something over it, but take the shapes in the background into account and shade it while keeping to those shapes.

There are a thousand things you could do with it. I'm sure you'll think of something :)

Thanks for the :+fav: by the way on my own watercolour/pen combo :).

Great ideas. Basically create a focal point, whatever it may be, which is what I was thinking too. Thanks :)
